What we set out to do
Estate Doctor exists to help homebuyers and investors understand India’s property market. Every piece we publish should leave a reader better equipped to make a decision.
Independence
Our editorial judgement is our own. What we choose to cover, and what we conclude, is decided by our editorial team on the merits.
Sourcing and verification
We aim to base our reporting on information that can be checked.
- We prefer primary sources: official records, regulatory filings, RERA portals and published reports.
- We name our sources for data and figures wherever we can.
- We say so clearly when information is an estimate, or could not be independently verified.
How we reach a verdict
A “Deal Ya No Deal” verdict weighs a property’s price against its location, what is being offered and the alternatives available. It reflects our opinion at the time of publication, and we explain the reasoning behind it.
Advertising and sponsored content
Paid partnerships and sponsored content are clearly labelled as such, so you can always tell them apart from our editorial coverage.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and note the correction where the change is significant. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and choose “Story tip or correction”.
Plain language
We write so that a first-time buyer can follow. We explain technical and legal terms rather than assume them.
Feedback
We welcome questions and criticism about our coverage. Write to us through the contact page.
